Hey there, I'm Dolce Diana and I'm so excited to share my must-have items for new mommies out there. Being a new mom can be overwhelming and stressful, especially if it's your first time. But don't worry, I've got you covered with some amazing mommy must-haves that will help make your life a little easier.
First, my favorite must-have item for new moms is a doula.
I know it may be a bit expensive, but trust me, it’s worth every penny. A doula is like having an expert in your pocket who can guide you through your pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period. They’re not just there for your physical health, but also to be your advocate and support system. My postpartum doula was an expert in baby sleep, which was a game-changer for us. If you’re considering hiring a doula, I highly recommend it.
Another item that helped us tremendously was the SNOO. It’s a smart baby bed that mimics the womb environment and helps babies sleep longer. We rented it, but you can also buy one or look for one on Facebook marketplace. It’s definitely an investment, but it’s worth it for the extra sleep it provides.
For moms who exclusively use formula, I highly recommend the Baby Brezza. It’s a formula machine that makes it super easy to mix and prepare formula with just a touch of a button. You can program it for a specific formula brand, saving a lot of time and effort. We also loved using Dr. Brown’s bottles with the vent system that helps babies ingest less air. It’s especially helpful for babies with colic or reflux. And for a stroller that doubles as a car seat, we loved the Duna stroller. It’s versatile and practical for parents on the go. When it comes to swaddling, we found that the Velcro swaddles were the best for keeping our baby snug and secure. And for diaper changing, we organized a small basket of diapers and a tiny trash can on top of the changing table. We also had a weighted baby wipes holder and a dish of pacifiers in the top drawer. It made changing time a breeze.
"A mother understands what a child does not say"
Another must-have for us was the salt lamp. It’s a warm amber light that doesn’t interfere with the blue light brain thing, making it perfect for nighttime feedings or bedtime reading. It’s also amazing for creating a calming environment for both baby and parent.
For sunny days, we used a muslin cloth to cover the stroller and protect our baby from the sun. And we also added probiotic drops to our baby’s bottle to promote a healthy gut.
Lastly, we loved the pudge tub, which is a foldable tub that sits in the sink and keeps the baby’s head out of the water. It’s perfect for bath time and saves a lot of space.
These are just a few of my favorite mommy must-haves, but I’ll be back with more juicy tips on how to make your life as a new mom easier and stress-free. Remember to take care of yourself too and enjoy this special time with your little one.
